Gowd - what`s in a name? In 2009, two guys with more than a lifetime of experiance in plant cultivation joined forces with horticultural scientists. Together, they created high quality fertilizers which are user friendly to boot. It was an instant succes. Since all people involved come from Friesland - a province located in the north of the Netherlands - they named their company Gout, which means Good and Gold in Frisian. At first, their products were only available in (the north of) the Netherlands, but to their suprise and pleasure, international demand grew quickly. Therfore, they decided to expand. For the international branch, the old scottish language has provided the twin word for Gout: Gowd, meaning Gold and Wealth. These words reflect the top notch quality of Gowd`s products and services perfectly.

Gowd can be relied upon. Always. This might sound old fashioned, but Gowd values trustworthiness greatly. In the north of the Netherlands, the word "GOWD" means "GOOD". That is what Gowd stands for.
